A scant nine months after his debut for EMI Classics, 'Onwards', topped the classical charts, Lancashire-born tenor andcrossover phenomenon Boe delivers this third opus, on whichhe tackles a set of vintage Neapolitan folk. Whilst not classical music per se, many of these tunes (including the classics 'Caruso', 'O Sole Mio' and 'Torna A Surriento') have become part of the repertoire and have been recorded by a lineage of great artists whose ranks Boe now looks set to join.

La Passione, the Passion: These Italian folk songs have always been so close to my heart because of the passion they naturally express. Most of these songs were written in remembrance of their homeland. Many Italians emigrated west, in search of success and a new way of life. These songs were sung to evoke the life and land, they left behind. They talk of the towns, the mountains, the seas, the loves they have lost and the loves they still hold in their hearts.
